Behold and ponder. Why do I think this is the video that epitomizes the counterflow? (sp/sx<-->sx/so<-->so/sp<-->)

Re: The Counterflow
It seems like the video goes So/Sp-->Sp/Sx-->Sx/So, but is ultimately So/Sp ("I am the voice...")
I hear your voice on the wind
And I here you call out my name
"Listen my child, " you say to me
"I am the voice of your history
Be not afraid, come follow me
Answer my call and I'll set you free"
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice that always is calling you
I am the voice, I will remain
I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone
The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow
Ne'er do I sleep throughout all the cold winter long
I am the force that in springtime will grow
I am the voice of the past that will always be
Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields
I am the voice of the future
Bring me your peace
Bring me your peace and my wounds, they will heal
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain
I am the voice of your hunger and pain
I am the voice that always is calling you
I am the voice

Re: The Counterflow
She's the voice and the force that makes the earth turn the way it does. If synflow is "persisting within and FOR the within," counterflow should be "enacting upon." For instance, the sun (Sx/So) heats the earth and is the force that makes life possible.
It begins with her standing on top of the mountain overlooking an arid landscape (So/Sp), then discovering hieroglyphs outlining the history of that landscape and the underbelly of hunger and pain (Sp/Sx), then there's a brief 'intermission' where she's having visions and being the voice and the force behind all there is, then she appears to sacrifice (to lose herself) upon the sight of a presumably firebreathing dragon (Sx/So) which she was able to call forth because the cave (Sp/Sx) gave her the voice (So/Sp) to do it.

Okay, let's take it bit by bit, and def AH needn't be the only one who answers.

Is she the voice?

Can a landscape itself, just a lanscape without anything manmade, really be so/sp?
And moreover, is this actually "a landscape itself"? What is she looking at?

Re: The Counterflow
Well, there's a city in the distance, past the natural landscape (no, a landscape itself cannot be So/Sp), and the voice sings, "I hear your voice on the wind, And I hear you call out my name."
No, she isn't the voice, she's the "child." She follows the voice.

Re: The Counterflow
In as much as the counterfllow is 'not human', so/sp would be represented by a mountain in an arid landscape if we're sticking to nature images. But it's highly significant that she is looking at the city i the distance.
She has to get to the city. Civilization must be acheived.
Now compare the opening images to the closing.

Re: The Counterflow
The sky color changed from bright and blue to dusky and dark gray;
in the beginning, she had a sylph-like appearance, toward the end, she appears more like an athletic warrior;
in the beginning, as you said there's a city in the distance and she's reaching for civilization; toward the end, it appears as though the civilization she reached for is now in ruins.

Re: The Counterflow
In the beginning she has her gaze on the tower of the city (which mirrors the mountain) on the horizon; where is it at the end?
Re: The Counterflow
I meant where is her gaze at the end?
