He seems 6 > 5 to me. This video seems like the neorealism film noir version of Gaga's Born This Way. There are like millions of Trents on the planet. Why? After all he is surely sp/sx and he also seems 1 fixed to me. (Heart I think is 3 'all the way in 4'). So why then would he have such amorphous boundaries with the world at large? My guess is sp/sx 6w55w4-3w44w5-1w92w1.

Re: Tent Reznor
Interviews like this one are a close call and he seems really right between 5 and 6, to me anyway. But notice, for instance, he starts off saying he couldn't find anyone lthinking the way he was thinking because he was in Cleveland--suggesting if he'd been elsewhere he would have found people who thought like him. So he decided to give it a try on his own--suggesting trying on his own isn't quite his natural element.
As a 1 fixed sp/sx, why not, if he's a Five?

Re: Tent Reznor
And then his main complaint about the industry is you have to get your material put out through 'a bunch of idiots you don't respect and they don't respect you'.
It's like he has to make it sound like a give and take even when despising the relationship, and also the whole choice of 'respect' seems somehow odd. There are far worse things he could say, this seems...attached to a concept of 'respect' as optimal. Why?
It's like he doesn't quite sound like a rejection type. Like his base metabolish is 'thwarted attachment'.

Re: Tent Reznor
In a more recent one he said because of film deals he doesn't have to worry about income from Nine Inch Nails so he can do what he wants musically.
And gives as an example, he can't stand Trump and if you like Trump, fine, bye, he doesn't have to worry about that (paraphrasing broadly, will locate). Really? A withdrawn sp/sx 5, and that's his 'iconoclasm'?
Those are the shackles he's free of? Nine Inch Nails fans who may be mad he doesn't like Trump?
ykwim?

Re: Tent Reznor
Hmmm. I see.
I didn't participate in his typing thread on ET, but taking a closer look at him now, I see what you mean. He really does seem right in between 5 and 6.
5w6, 3w4, 1w9, and sp/sx with double (4w5) is almost certainly incorrect, IMO. Otherwise, I don't think he would've suggested that trying on his own isn't quite his natural element. He also wouldn't explicitly and energetically seem as 'trapper-y' and limits-testing as he does—which is also accounted for by sp/sx.
I think he DOES have amorphous and permeable boundaries with the world at large, and it seems he very effortfully strove to both avariciously and imagistically distinguish himself from it. sp/sx 5w6(4w5) wouldn't have had to strive, I think.
That leaves 5w6(6w7) and 6w5(5w4). What else could he be?
My bet is 6w5(5w4).

Re: Tent Reznor
This is the interview and although it's the interviewer who establishes the initial line of questioning, at around 1'40" he says it's hard to know who you are, how people see you..."I'd like you to see me as Bowie but...you might see me as...you know what I mean?"
and a lot of shrug and sigh. He strikes me as very Sixishly sulky. So does the song 'Hurt' in many ways. Bemoaning thwarted attachment.
And I think rock bands are out of fashion but you know, I don't give a shit.
"The Cliff notes version of my speech is our collective decision making is based on..."
In Mercer, Pennsylvania, as a kid, the record player was his best friend...
Whatever Bowie's real life was couldn't live up to what he PROJECTED onto him.
"The point is I have grown to believe...", "in my opinion"...."I get it, not trying to say that's wrong..."
Seems passion doubt > avarice.
And he NEEDED the rock stars to be larger than life growing up. (heroes?)
And at around 7 minutes, NOW he feels 'this is what it is', if you don't like it, 'plenty of other options for you'.
And then at the end. "I think Donald Trump is an asshole. If that offends you, don't come. It's okay".
He sounds like a Six.

Re: Tent Reznor
How many diehard Nine Inch Nails fans don't think Trump is an asshole?
Two?
How many enough not to go to the concert? One? Maybe?
It sounds like he's giving away his closeted fear that there may be one.

Yup.
A withdrawn "Get It Right" 'reluctant trapper' is what he seems like to me.

Re: Tent Reznor
I also found this song made by an admirer.
I don't think this can be done in honor of a withdrawn 5 lead artist.
Honoring 'their formula'.

Re: Trent Reznor
Btw the first words of We're In This Together are "I've become", echoing 'Hurt's' "What have I become?"
