I really like things I don't understand: when I read a thing I don't understand I feel a sweet and abysmal vertigo. - Clarice Lispector, Água Viva
Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
Bobby Seale is called the co-founder of the BPP but it seemed that it was Newton's idea and he enlisted Seale. Now it seems, out of Seale's mouth, that the ten points were also Newton's idea. I guess Seale was NeTi and they were business partners? It seems as though Seale had the gold on the tongue and social aplomb Newton lacked but Newton had the gravitas and focus. In any case, from this video it seems fine to think of the Panthers as 'Newton's baby', cast in the mold of his personality. I assume I'll find out much more in 'Revolutionary Suicide'.

Expulsion of Eldridge Cleaver, the third major figure in the BPP (SeFi?). Maybe Chris Hedges is on Cleaver's side? (Miraged against his contrary?)
I remember when my mother had Cleaver's autobiography, 'Soul on Ice', on the night table next to her bed. I found the photo cover of him mesmerizing and troubling. Just kept staring at him. Very possibly he had inner axis friction of kindreds with Newton and clash of superegos with Seale.

From the very first pages of 'Revolutionary Suicide', I see my initial perception of young Newton interviewed in prison when facing possible death penalty was correct. sp/SX tribal leader and he did not care if he died because he had already won by dint of the fact he was on the air. A true [sp/sx] Friend of Death, but seems to be the combination of sp/SX and triple attached 6w5, with sx 9, that made him so proud, composed, and fearless to 'die for the people'.

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
Here is an older Bobby Seale. According to him, Huey Newton would have been a coke head by '74, so around the time of the Buckley interview. This makes sense. Also he says Newton was trying to take over the Oakland drug trade so...I guess that's what Hedges was referring to. We also see Seale taking credit for operations as chairman when Newton was in prison, and for ending the party with his own resignation. And not seeming so NeTi...I did consider NeFi before...but even that...That said, a lot of people in the comments aren't buying it (which does smack of Ne dom side-pedaling/peddling).

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
Comments pro and con Bobby Seale do highlight Newton's drug use so that would explain the huge change in the older Newton.
Lesson 1. Stick with younger videos for initial typing impressions as per usual.
Lesson 2. Stop forgetting to factor in potential drug use with famous people's videos. Jeez.

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
There are a couple of very good photos of Newton in a slide show here.
He says in the autobiography he had a beard until he went to jail, because he was always teased for being too baby-faced and pretty, including by siblings as a child. They told him he should have been a girl.
Those who have pored over his image search may have already seen the beard in his mug shot.*
*This is a later arrest.

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
I finally finished watching that video and at this point i'm pretty positive that SeTi in SiTe is right.Roshan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 1:37 pm No, wait.
Toward the end of this, I'm thinking they're actually contraries and this Plato business when he 'taught himself to read' was SeTi in SiTe shadow.
I didn't think he could be Se frame because he was swaying and shifting all over the place and digressing so much, but ultimately he's so lumbering and powerful...and in the end he's happy as a clam with Buckley and is still talking to him non-stop after the show's over. He found him 'entertaining'.
Before that video, from the photos and shorter videos, i was pretty sure he would end up being gamma, and my guess would have been TeNi.
And i still thought 136 Getting it right was his likely tritype, with sp/sx and some notable hole factor.
Then when i saw them arguing over the definition of revolution in the video, Buckley struck me as SiTe and i moved HPN to FeNi.
I really thought they were going to conflict and that Buckley was hurting HPN's Si polr and that HPN was both going to weaponize Ne 6th authority and show Se 3rd teeth.
But the more tension they had, the closer HPN was leaning toward Buckley.
Which struck me as weird because it's not really what you see when conflictors clashes.
Conflictor wars tends to be way colder and "aerial", fought from a greater (and increasing) distance, imo.
My Site father and FeNi mother for example would typically shoot at each other with several rooms and/or a floor between them. It would never ever look like what we see in that video.
I didn't really consider they could be super-egos because it seemed quite impossible that Buckley might be my TeSi conflictor.
But as i said in the chat, i briefly considered Buckley might be FiNe.
That didn't hold up but it made me realize that contraries was almost certainly right, and HPN had to be SeTi.
which i really hadn't considered before at all.
My "duality radar" wasn't ticking, so to speak.
I only realized when i rewatched parts of the first half of the video that his Ti was obviously not inferior, or even seeking.
Rewatching it, it's pretty obvious that he is playing chess right from the start, pretty fast and skillfully.
The first time i watched it, my first impression was that "i heard most of this before" (mostly from european maoists and ultraleftists from the same period) which seemed like a pretty good argument for Fe frame and Si polr.
But as it turns out, that was confirmation bias.

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
Hmm, he does an awful lot of finger pointing, in both videos.
And some comments points out that he is crossing a sacred tribal line by talking like that about a brother to a white man.
I'm wondering if he might have been one of those NeTi-ish TeSi when he was younger, who turned into one of the beefcake ones when he got older.
That would make him HPN's quasi-identical, Cleaver's beneficiary and reverse supervisor, and Chris Hedges' mirror, which doesn't seem impossible.

Re: Gram the Grown Up #2
As of yesterday, I started Book 2 of 'Revolutionary Suicide' and Bo Larsen's recording of Eli's talk on E6 started appearing on my yt feed out of the clear blue sky. So I'm listening to it and it's pretty amazing just how much, from 6'33" to 7'12", Eli's comments on idealization and toppling of the father, then search for a replacement belief apply.
What doesn't apply is the conscious awareness of the betrayal by the father's incompetence, but it was very obvious (and irritating to me) that Newton was willfully blind to very obvious things that the father just did wrong. He did not have to have eight kids, he did not have to forbid the mother from working (at all, even part-time, even out of the home), he did not have to also be a lay minister during the free time he didn't have. Newton wasn't the only one of the siblings who became functionally illiterate and/or a street 'hustler' while the parents, both enthusiastic readers, were too busy and too stressed by poverty to notice.
But Newton just never, so far, takes a clear look at his father's flaws. It strikes me, so far, that his inability to do so was part of the reason he began to attribute all, and I mean all, personal defects to social ills. This was E6 projecting out through his 9 fix's willful blindness to the less than rose-colored attributes of the Father (which complex is the crux of his 6 lead fixation), and of the parents and The Family in general.
