3 Deceit between 6 Doubt (Fear) and 9 Sloth

Systems fail of 3 "Mechanical Heart". Counterphobic heroic attempts at 6 don't work. Extreme precarity of 3 disintegration to 9.

Second, official video. Got better deceit at floating in better tin can.

Plant is 7 fixed but 3 leads and this song is about integration of 3 between 6 and 9, Passion Deceit ---> Virtue Veracity.

3 Deceit overcomes 6 Doubt (Virtue Faith) and starts integrating high 9 (Sloth becoming virtue Right Action but Ego-Go must first 'stand long', 'be a rock and not to roll' as 'lateral' Sloth. 3 must rest). The lady too must stop buying and selling glitter as gold. (Lyrics are subtitled).

Also, E3 'Holy Idea' is Holy Hope, Holy Law. There is a universal harmonic order, 'where all is one and one is all'. High 3 will also be High 9.

Type 3

Passion - Deceit:

I’ve interpreted the deceit of type 3 to essentially mean ‘feeling through others’. Being both in the centre of the heart triad, and an attachment type. 3 can avoid ‘feeling their feelings’ and being in touch with their true desires. Instead they attach, whether that attachment is to a certain emotional state, social role, to whatever they (or those around them) define as success, to a cultivated image, etc.
Talking style - propaganda (the 3 describes themselves as they want and not always how they are. Deceiving not only others but also themselves because they want to avoid failure, and acknowledging the feeling of worthlessness that comes with failing at something you identify yourself with).

3 also moves between types 6 and 9.

6 doubt, fear, uncertainty — 3 tries to avoid uncertainty of their identity by avoiding their doubts and loss of self at 6. As well as feeling defensive against the threat of a possible ‘other’ placing what the 3 perceives as unmanageable expectations. Therefore seeing trust and alliances as something that must be constantly earned to be kept.— They accept themselves as not needing to falsely individuate from others and their humanity to know who they are at 9. They become more trusting and more willing to open up to others. They become less afraid to connect through their flaws as well.

9 sloth, disengagement, self abandonment. They may still be considered ‘productive’ but they are not fully engaged in their actions, and search for their identity in others. They can essentially use others as a ‘means to an end’ when they don’t see h or their actions affect others. — 3 tries to engage with something outside themselves in order to individuate themselves and create meaning for themselves. — At 6 they maintain their sense of self but are also able to acknowledge others and separate themselves when needed. They become more willing to cooperate with others without being so self serving. Nor are they as willing to deny certain parts of themselves in order to maintain harmony, essentially becoming more honest with themselves and those around them.

Now let’s expand with some examples.

From David Bowie’s Space Oddity:
(Note there are interpretations of the song being a reference to Bowie’s drug addiction. However I will be taking the lyrics at face value and writing where I think they show the passion of type 3).

“You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare”

My interpretation:

You’re successful according to the wants and expectations of other people. But are you willing to go outside of your comfort zone even if it means possibly disappointing others?

“I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do”

My interpretation:

There is an attempt to try and individuate yourself in order to (quite literally) ‘be above’ others. It is not so much about being better at the same thing, but in this case feeling like you can’t be compared to ‘the other humans’ (3w4). This, however leads a feeling of isolation by not connecting with others humanity. ‘And there’s nothing I can do” shows a lack of agency (moving back to 9). Your sense of self comes from being different then ‘the other’ (‘the world’ is blue, but I am not. Me versus them at 6) rather than truly being yourself.

“Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?”

My interpretation:

This further shows a lack of agency at 9. No matter how much you do, you don’t move forward in life. At worst this becomes self abandonment and a continuous search for the approval of others.

Type 3 Holy Idea - Holy Hope (reference https://drdaviddaniels.com/essential-sp ... qualities/):

What’s meant to be in the future will be (sloth becomes right action at high 9 as Roshan says). All without separating the effort we put in from the contributions made by others. We stop trying to control ourselves and/ or others and accept ourselves and others as we are (honesty > deceit). We don’t push away and compartmentalize our own feelings, even if it means stepping back when needed. Instead of feeling like we are empty and lack direction (lack faith at 6 as Roshan has mentioned) we realize that we don’t have to chase a specific image of ourselves in order to move forward in life.

Here’s another example.

From Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven:

“There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven”

My interpretation:

The lady sees whatever looks good as valuable or as something that she can make valuable. She has faith (at 6) that the world works in her favour (3 propaganda), but she believes she has to ‘earn her place’ for what she does. Rather than accepting that she is ‘worthy of grace’ for who she is (deceit).

“There's a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven
You know”

My interpretation:

Here there’s lack of faith and trust in others (at 6) because she assumes that everyone else is as deceptive as she is. Misgiven means the doubt or apprehension or foreboding we hold. She doubts herself as much as others, but there’s also a resistance to fully embracing her true feelings (acceptance at 9).

“There's a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
That's you
And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter
Remember laughter?”

There’s a longing to be anywhere then where you are right now, because there is -hope- that maybe then things could be better. I think ‘rings of smoke’ could be a reference to self deception. ‘Those who stand looking’ are how others you actually see you. There’s a reach out to the other (an audience) as if we all come together (at 9) then we can trust (at 6) that we will be led in the right direction (holy hope).

“If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now
It's just a spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on”

My interpretation:

The May queen could be seen as a reference to Mother Nature herself. There is always the potential for new growth (hope) no matter the previous destruction. No one path is linear because we all eventually get to where we need to go (holy hope).

“Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know
The piper's calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?”

The lady in this instance feels doubt where her opportunity (3) lies in trusting others (6).

“And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold”.

My interpretation:

We can not trust our own nature (fear at 6, denial of being fully human at 9). We must be optimistic (includes types 7,9, and 3) and create a better life for ourselves. I believe while the lady still deceives herself, the lyrics change from ‘everything that glitters is gold’, to just ‘everything’. This could be seen as acceptance of what is, is truly good as is without only expecting whatever looks good to hold value. Or it could be further deceit that everything can work out in our favour, if we only desire it to.
