It could also be part of an Ne-ish, Sx 9ish desire to depict the unity of everything, indiscriminately.[/color]
Well, take Ramana Maharshi. Complete Cosmic Union. Ne second. Goes to a cave to empty his mind and merge with the cosmos and Holy Love, and sits there for years meditating with all the bugs crawling on him in the dirt....

I have to think about all this.

So I read his wiki. Most illustrative. Who knew?

I was particularly interested in his other (and according to him most important) job as a cafe guru, and atm the film I most want to see is this one..

Since I still have Prime, I hope that means I save the five bucks...

ps We will probably have to reinstate the fireside.

Sorry.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alejandro_Jodorowsky

From the Career section:
“During the completion of The Holy Mountain, Jodorowsky received spiritual training from Oscar Ichazo of the Arica School, who encouraged him to take LSD and guided him through the subsequent psychedelic experience.”

:o
(I mean I guess it’s not that surprising—Chile—but still :o )

The eleventh time he speaks, "AJ: No. the audience who came to see el Topo..."

But I thought we had already spoken about him and Ichazo. Should have mentioned it anyway, though.

"I think every person, starting from Bush and Blair and all that, they [should] take mushrooms one time, in order to open the mind – just one time. Because these dirty politicians only speak about materiality, not one word about spirituality. They need to open their minds."

Politicians speaking of spirituality? Really? This is not a 6 fixer. No worst-case scenario thinking whatsoever, it seems, especially for someone so obsessed with spiritual practice.

I don't recall speaking about Jodorowosky and Ichazo together.

He's very Sevenny here. As well as acting in that film. And what a film...got me thinking about the relationship between 7 headless head (chicken with head cut off) and 5 dismembered body parts on the 5/7 line.
There's also sp 4 'me, myself, and I' and sp 2 'me first,' interestingly. :ninja:

The fourth time he speaks:
SW: How do you structure your films, for example, what was the structure you followed/wrote for Holy Mountain? Was it like an archetypal hero’s journey — with thresholds, allies, and enemies, atonement, apotheosis?
AJ: For Holy Mountain I use the symbol of the enneagram. An enneagram is the sacred symbol of the Sufi’s. Then I make a character of the enneagram, who was the search of consciousness. Then I take the worst person in the world and start to change into wise person as they came to reality. This is how I wanted to do it and I did it. That was my structure.

And then the fifth time:
SW: I wanted to ask you about the role of alchemy in your work, as an aspect of your work, the material transformation and simultaneously personal transmutation.
AJ: The alchemy has two or three principal goals. First principal goal is to change matter into gold. Perfection of matter. This is one. And then to create the powder that changes the matter. The powder is an illuminated soul. This is a description of Christ, they say, when he came to you, he changed you. Second goal is to find the dissolvent — do you know what is a dissolvent? You make everything like water. Universal dissolvent. You put a drop here and it makes everything dissolve. And that is love. Love will open all the doors. That is number two. And number three is the elixir of long life. You will be young for a long time. The alchemist.

He almost reminds me of those TeSi's we've seen on YouTube with clickbait titles marketing stuff like "Nikola Tesla's Greatest Secret" and "Unlocking the Demon within You."

Like you said, Ne 'flag-planting,' and something like Te agenda '5 steps to becoming enlightened' without any actual Ti or Ni—just magic.

Ti PoLR for sure.

I remember when i scrolled through the dance of reality to check its subtitles when you recommended it.
I thought of two things.
First, tone reminded me of roshan👀
Second, also from what you told me about him, his imagery seems more on the seperated side.
Compared to someone like Tarkovsky or Bergman and both being Se/Ni they don't have that "abstraction" aspect.
Although maybe FeNi could be that. NeFi seems more likely vibe wise off it.

Fellini has similarities with tone and "let's hold hands and dance in the circus" but off handedly i get something a bit different?

*godard too has similarties with treatment of imagery imo*

Don't understand what you mean, e-ssam.

Compared to someone like Tarkovsky or Bergman and both being Se/Ni they don't have that "abstraction" aspect.
Although maybe FeNi could be that. NeFi seems more likely vibe wise off it.

But why would FeNi have it if he has to have fully achieved Se (being his films are so impactful) and he's Si PolR?

Fellini has similarities with tone and "let's hold hands and dance in the circus" but off handedly i get something a bit different?

Well, Jodorowsky most unsurprisingly credits Fellini with being one of iirc three biggest influences. What do you think is Fellini's ct?

*godard too has similarties with treatment of imagery imo*

hmmm....
Yes, do. Please do catch up on this thread. It'll be interesting to get a more informed opinion from you.
