Movie of the Week

Post by Roshan »

The movie of this week is Peeping Tom by Michael Powell. It's available for free on the Internet Archive and it's also available as a rental on YouTube..

The movie of the week will be announced on Sundays. This is a short week. :lmao:

I find this channel to be extremely helpful when it comes to film and art analysis. I highly recommend it.

I finished the movie and wrote about it for my assignment. To avoid spoiling it, I'll wait until the rest of you finish before I add any thoughts.

No, Anthony, don't wait until everyone finishes. There are five of us. Wait until the majority--three--finish it or til tomorrow midnight your time, whichever comes first.

I understand why you're telling everyone you'll wait for them but if you consider the ramifications within the context of the whole forum at this time you should also be able to see there are problems with that. Also we have to choose what the film for next week is today anyway.

That’s definitely true. I will do that. Tomorrow is a very, very busy day for me, so I’ll do it on Tuesday.

I just watched it but I'll be watching it again really soon and taking notes with time stamps. That was really uncommonly good; he was such a visionary.

Everyone should like this post once they've seen the film.

Buñuel's 'Viridiana' is for next Sunday. I found it for free on archive.org with subtitles (and on Daily Motion without).

Anthony, I made a subforum in the Hootenanny section called Movie of the Week. Just create a separate thread to discuss each film. We can just keep announcing them here.
