Yes, I paint with my words too... for better or worst.
Well, so if that's what you meant and I didn't misunderstand you, why didn't you answer my question instead of giving me a different one?
What makes it okay for you to bring up his alcoholism while simultaneously prejudging other people for not understanding him as part of some barbaric hoard if they were to bring it up without...without what? Without saying it's art?

Because you have a relative who died of alcoholism
Jonathan?
While everyone else except 'the few' is guzzling from a pig trough if they talk negatively about Johnny Depp?

I don't understand the thrust here, I've put ample negative context on him already. And I've done much to humanize it as well.
Go re-read the first post. If he wants to kill himself, get out of the way.
But don't kiss and tell, it says more you than him. Nobody was waiting for your heartache, anymore than his.

And to dehumanize the vast majority of people who might criticize him as being unworthy of doing so because they're not members of the elect like you.
(Not that most people DO criticize him btw; he's being mostly canonized in the public square while she's being burned for a witch)
Also, you started off the thread by framing him as a romantic who just gives and gives. You didn't say anything negative until
Vincent did, and then you simply couldn't do it until you first elevated yourself above the common hoard of barbarians who just don't get it.
You don't understand the thrust of this after all these years knowing the Enneagram? You still don't know that what Fours ultimately envy is other people's
normalcy and belonging to common humanity?
Really not?

I'm not going to argue, it's all very true. If by pointing out my inconsistencies, then what can I say, you're right? I need to say and think different things? Stop posting? Take it as a lesson in awareness?
I started a conversation and it evolved, I opened up a little more, then it became about me.

What I would suggest actually is for you to have a look at the
health levels for Type Four, bearing in mind that the levels routinely go up and down two full ones from the center of gravity. So that means the most important are the COG at 6 and the low end of the range at 8. And then think about whether that's where you'd like to stay. But then I might just be some old betty who thinks and judges, unlike 'the few'.who really get life.

I'm not well! I had a parent die, my gf went nuts and broke up with me, I hate my job and I'm up to my eyeballs with the contents of two (2) storage units that I can no longer afford to keep after selling my house, and had a nervous breakdown in January.
I've had better stages in life!
But you grabbed this few thing and introjected its meaning that it was you. I know what E people think about things, do I have to be so specific to point that I just meant the public writ large? When my own mother doesn't even get how/why I think/feel about anything until beaten over the head?
Enough, no hard feelings. I'm already looking into me

I agree, enough for now. Let's call it a day.
I'm very sorry to hear about this death, and about the problems with the storage adding on to your stress, and the other things which I either knew or had a good idea of too.

I'm very sorry to hear that you're going through all this
Jonathan and i do hope you'll reach a better stage in your life soon enough.
But please allow me to inquire, maybe it will help us reach some clarity here at least :
I know what E people think about things
What do you mean by that ? Who are the E people ? What it is that they think ? And how do you know about that ?
do I have to be so specific to point that I just meant the public writ large?
Why even
mention the "few" and the "public writ large" to begin with ?
Why the need to elevate "the few" and disparage the literal, greedy and defensive ones, who don't get the "art of destruction" ?

I don't really understand why it would be harder to pay for the storage units after selling your house because presumably now you'd have funds for them, at least temporarily. But if you don't, I'd suggest giving yourself a concrete time frame to sell, donate, consolidate, and/or dispose of what's in them, say two months, and you can put the storage costs on a credit card if necessary. Then after that, focus on getting a new job since it's always much easier to get a job when you have a job. You've been at that job for a long time. As long as you stay on decent terms with your boss so you have a reference you should be able to get a different one. I understand you don't feel well but if you feel well enough to at least manage to get to and through work, you should be able to get through these two projects if you have a clear plan, which, having one should also focus and energize you at least somewhat. And changing jobs should be something to look forward to.
