Terra Incognita

Another Nine billboarder par excellence is the "living sculpture" Colette Lumiere, pictured on facebook in an array of larger than life anachronistic get-ups. Also with Six and Four, though she is I think Eight-winged and sp/SX. The point is there is a kind of Nine who won't NOT be seen, and the visuals can be extraordinarily contrived but the 'protoplasmic' factor still shines through. Though I am in a minority, apparently, in finding Siouxsie Sioux protoplasmic, but I do.

(I should note that I think the first time I used 'billboarding' for Nine was for the rooster-like tone of Michael Eric Dyson in the Munk debate when he confronted Jordan Peterson., and this was an "at Three with Three" situation having nothing to do with aesthetics. Nines can billboard just by making a habit of crowing but that's not what's going on with Siouxsie Sioux, Isabella Blow, and Colette).

Let's see what Siouxsie was up to in 2009. She performs from her solo album, Mantaray, released 2007. Older Susie seems more embodied but still movements are awkward; this is particularly obvious when she kicks. (Have only watched the first song so far).

The times she just sits and plays with the toy...the times she seems like she's sleepwalking...the times she does both...
