Well, the term's prehistory goes back to "pen and paper" roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons.
And in that context, it has indeed something to do with breaking the fourth wall to get an edge.
But in the kind of video games Train and Destiny play together, the fictional and narrative aspects of roleplaying are close to non-existent. And in that context, meta is all about collective norms of optimization and tactics.

After all, they are "no names" already for Destiny.
What Destiny doesn't seem or want to remember is that every "name" started by being a "no name".
And obviously, if those "no names" get destroyed, even if it's one at a time and by the hands of 1% of the population they never get a chance to become "names".
Deltas are supposed to know that. Non devoluted ones usually do.
yeah, so much for delta NFs being the ones rooting for underdogs. :/
I'm also getting the same gut reaction I get from NeFi flag planting and frame hopping.
"I really hope you are only giving the benefit of the doubt, but this is really not the thing to do with what is at hand. And if you can, stop, listen to yourself and look at it."
I don't know what he was trying to do though, really, except maintain the status quo. It wasn't going to go anywhere, and I don't think Train was at a position to counter him better, and Destiny probably knew that too on some level.

This popped up in my youtube suggestions
i didn't watch the whole thing yet, but the first minutes are enough to see Hassan spewing bullshit while stuffing his mouth again.
Destiny's fighting for the right side this time and he seems to have done some homework, at least.
will watch the rest tomorrow
tbcd.

This one popped up today :
Destiny's talking with a longtime friend of Anthony Huber, who was in Kenosha that night.
Based on the video in my previous post, i was expecting some heat, but that's not what happens here.
Huber's friend is actually pretty nuanced and articulate, and he actually agrees that Kyle acted in self-defense.
And it's weirdly not that weird that this happens on a video game stream.

Destiny's okay, from what I've seen of him overall. The standards I subject him to under a microscope to understand what makes him and the socion tick have no real life analogue. ct has E correlations, some very strong. NeFi is going to have a high correlation with 379. 379 is Smooth Operator or Wizard of Odds, so is NeFi. NeFi is a publicity hound and gambler; it's awash with Vanity and Gluttony. Rarely, I think, will the 9 come first. Destiny's 'propensity to airbrushed surface-skating smarminess' has its saving graces socion-wise. And that's why he belongs where he is, in her majesty's royal navy, a captain of the HMS Twitchafore.

A visit from the Progenitor of this Family Thread.
Just an off the cuff Q&A. Ben is so entertaining, and four years and counting I still haven't switched to the Austrian School of Economics.
Thus far never saw a TeNi that's not hyerfocused and at least intermittently caustic and arrogant. They are also usually scintillating but occasionally you'll get a more withdrawn, flatline poker-faced one. Also, like a lot of NeTi's, it seems TeNi must figure everything out now. They always have skin in the game. It seems to be because of first or second row N and T, in an extravert.

He said his favorite Lord of the Rings character is Strider, who is Aragorn in wiki.
O ye Tolkien heads, what doth it mean typologywise?
(Ben sp/SX 7w66w5-3w42w3-1w92w1 or thereabouts).
Well, you've given me a reason to finally rewatch The Lord of the Rings series (and probably The Hobbit series as well) which I haven't seen since I was 11 or 12, although perhaps I might find it more enjoyable to read the books this time around, as I haven't yet.
