It really does echo a lot of what you can hear about this here Roshan Including the parts about covid and the lockdown.
Except of course his libertarian-ish angle is practically unheard of in France so far.
Very very few of the french protesters would think about the welfare system as a pyramid scheme sham. Both the populist left and the populist right are still very very attached to "the sécurité sociale" and are still adamant about trying to save whatever remains of it. It's actually very striking how "gaullist" their paradigm is, on both sides of the fence.

Anyway, i can't help but think that all this "generational" talk isn't just growing out spontaneously in the streets. I strongly suspect it's being amplified and allowed to "trend" to promote "age wars" and distract from class warfare. The doors of Bordeaux City Hall didn't just burn because my fellow countrymen don't want to work two more years, but because "they" are playing with fire.
