Part of the live performance of Qaareat Al Fingan (Coffee Cup reader) by Abdel Halim
Originally, a poem by Nizar Qibbani.

The whole live performance would last from 60 to 90 minutes, i watched one with my dad a while back.

They'd just gotten married & with him working in the military (a copilot I believe?) he had to stay in Ismailia for some time.

At first I thought it was for the Palestine War but I think the timeline doesn't add up.
I can ask dad but i wanna connect the dots myself dammit :derby:
Well, for some reason too, dad never really gives straight answers whenever I ask about the family's history before my grandparents marriage.
I know we have an old paper that has the family tree somewhere, I know that we are part Turks, but only because mom told me, not dad. Or that it was mentioned in passing during a conversation between dad & my uncle over whatever and I was there at that point.

I have been pestering him for over a month now about the family lineage and all he says
"yea yea it's there somewhere, I will look for it."
And he doesn't, which yea sure he's a busy man but eh, at least look even if for a short bit right after I ask, no?

I'm not sure if it'd mean much if I just stumble across it either. Kinda goes against the point of a "family tree" if the father is alive and well.

But yeah, timing is funny.
but it isn't over yet either :derby:
