I see the shapes,
I remember from maps.
I see the shoreline.
I see the whitecaps.
A baseball diamond, nice weather down there.
I see the school and the houses where the kids are.
Places to park by the fac'tries and buildings.
Restaurants and bar for later in the evening.
Then we come to the farmlands, and the undeveloped areas.
And I have learned how these things work together.
I see the parkway that passes through them all.
And I have learned how to look at these things and I say,
I wouldn't live there if you paid me.
I couldn't live like that, no siree!
I couldn't do the things the way those people do.
I couldn't live there if you paid me to.
I guess it's healthy, I guess the air is clean.
I guess those people have fun with their neighbors and friends.
Look at that kitchen and all of that food.
Look at them eat it' guess it tastes real good.
They grow it in the farmlands
And they take it to the stores
They put it in the car trunk
And they bring it back home
And I say...
I wouldn't live there if you paid me.
I couldn't live like that, no siree!
I couldn't do the things the way those people do.
I couldn't live there if you paid me to.
I'm tired of looking out the windows of the airplane
I'm tired of traveling, I want to be somewhere.
It's not even worth talking
About those people down there.
Goo Goo Ga Ga Ga
David Byrne (Talking Heads)
Re: David Byrne (Talking Heads)
I'm not even looking for anything, I'm trying to sign off but this ghost in the machine is the gift that won't stop giving. Thank you David Dear. Keep interviewing yourself.
Re: David Byrne (Talking Heads)
You're welcome.
(Of course I knew the song but not...)

Honestly, such a raging 3.
Re: David Byrne (Talking Heads)
But I think this is the interview. We've seen him young, we've seen him old, but here he is in his early 40s, in 'the prime of his life'.
(Ignore the interviewer's framing of it. It's just absurd. Yes, you would expect visionaries in the arts).

(I think she is his semi-dual and has the hots for him while misunderstanding him utterly).
Re: David Byrne (Talking Heads)
For a digression, I have some of my biggest problems distinguishing between ISTP and INTJ. Probably because of my (for INTJ) very high Se I often have more in common with my benefactors than is usual. And I was seriously thinking Patti Smith might be ISTP but she has to absolutely value Ni and Fi, so thanks (once again) to the folks at 16types.info, Patti is INTJ.
It's clarified for me with this song because I have myself written songs and poems where the story of an artist is the story of history is the story of religion and is also fused with my personal history. This is Auburn's Ni 'world view' encompassing history qua history (which TiSe just isn't as concerned with). I should post a couple of those works of mine for comparison.
Also too many of her images are ridiculously similar to mine.
