My very strong impression from that photo was counterflow, NOT sx last, with sp/SX most likely. Having watched several videos I don't even think it's necessarily sp/SX but just straightforward sp/sx, though I could be wrong, but let's take seriously that he was called 'fearless and ferocious' in the above article, that it was the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, and also what a panther is. I just this moment stumbled on this video while looking for the ones I already had, and the thumbnail is so sp/sx I'm going to start with it. More coming up.

"We tutored him and politicized him". So....straightforward. As though politics itself was a tool or weapon they issued this guy, along with weapons. And then the arms dispensed were themselves calculatedly dispensed with.

If you scroll through this one from 1988 to see where he talks, you get some insights into how he 'fought' in the public arena when there was no longer the chronic extreme counterphobic life style with/against the authorities. But I will provide time stamps.

Excerpt from wiki article on his autobiography, 'Revolutionary Suicide'.

"In the opening manifesto section Newton outlines his idea of ‘revolutionary suicide’ as opposed to what he describes as ‘reactionary suicide’. Reactionary suicide is a suicide brought about by despair with one's social conditions. On the other hand, Newton says a ‘revolutionary suicide’ is a death brought about by forcibly challenging the system and repressive agencies that can lead a person to commit reactionary suicide.[9] In other words, the revolutionary knows he or she will risk death but chooses to fight to improve the conditions for their community rather than submit to the existing state that have created these conditions."

My original strong impression from the photo was 4 fix, and this appeared corroborated by this excerpt from the same book in the wiki article on him:

During those long years in Oakland public schools, I did not have one teacher who taught me anything relevant to my own life or experience. Not one instructor ever awoke in me a desire to learn more or to question or to explore the worlds of literature, science, and history. All they did was try to rob me of the sense of my own uniqueness and worth, and in the process nearly killed my urge to inquire.

But then when I started looking at videos that impression changed to 3, but with both the 6 and the 3 moving to 4, and very possibly both to 4/5, along with 1 movement to 4. Now I doubt that without at least movement of two fixes to 4/5 that 'Revolutionary Suicide' would have been a thing.

I'm also going to move back to sp/SX, especially if there's no actual 4 fix. Glorification of 'suicide' isn't midstream sp/sx. The self-pres instinct in midstream is untethered from the sexual.
