Academy of Ideas Trans Contagion Panel

Post by Roshan »

I thought it would be fun to type these panelists and see how much we agree. Vincent and I already agree James Esses is TiNi. These are the panelists (from the video description):

James Esses - barrister; social commentator; co-founder, Thoughtful Therapists
Helen Joyce - director of advocacy, Sex Matters; author, TRANS: when ideology meets reality
Katy Jon Went - diversity and inclusion facilitator and educator, Human Library, Pick My Brain, GenderAgenda, Fifty Shades of Gender
Jennie Bristow - senior lecturer in sociology, Canterbury Christ Church University; author, The Corona Generation: coming of age in a crisis and Growing up in Lockdown

Chair
Claire Fox - director, Academy of Ideas; independent peer, House of Lords; author, I STILL Find That Offensive!

I managed to watch the 40 first minutes before i got interrupted, will watch the rest asap

My first impressions are

James Esses - as TiNi as we said yesterday
Helen Joyce - i suspect SiFe aka "the reluctant alpha" in the room
Katy Jon Went - i would say FeNi, possibly FeSe
Jennie Bristow - really not sure about this one, maybe one of those nerdy academic FiNes
Claire Fox - the close up confirmed what i thought yesterday : she reminds me quite a bit of the only truly good internship admins i ever had who i'm positive is TeNi. "Not on my watch" could have been her motto btw.

I will refrain from commenting until you watch the rest and give your 'final' impressions, Vincent.

I watched the full thing and rewatched part of it
Helen Joyce - i suspect SiFe aka "the reluctant alpha" in the room
Considered SiTe too. Not quite sure but will keep my initial vote.
Katy Jon Went - i would say FeNi, possibly FeSe
Not beta, self satisfied delta extravert banquet dweller. I guess NeFi. Autogynephiliac Elephant in the women's restroom of the China Shop.
Jennie Bristow - really not sure about this one, maybe one of those nerdy academic FiNes
Still not sure what else it could be so keeping my vote.
Claire Fox - the close up confirmed what i thought yesterday : she reminds me quite a bit of the only truly good internship admins i ever had who i'm positive is TeNi. "Not on my watch" could have been her motto btw.
Still firmly believe she is a gamma extravert but now leaning more toward SeFi.

We discussed these and I'm summarizing here. We have to rewatch for Jennie Bristow.

I am sure she is FeNi and in fact we had a short thread with her (now including an abridged version of the deleted OP video). Vincent said he didn't recognize her in the Academy of Ideas video here and that it is misleading.

I thought FeNe, thought Ni PolR because 'she' never collapsed a thing and I couldn't even follow her; however, that could be Ni ignoring on Ti PoLR and she doesn't really seem Alpha but she is not Beta either, so NeFi is the best option.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. She seems to me like a very obvious SiFe. Vincent says she can't be Te PolR so he ruled out SiFe and she could be Se PoLR. Just don't see how she has to be any higher Te than numerous SiFe's who mask Te PoLR with Si dominant and highly developed Ti, and don't see her as Se PoLR either.

She is the most interesting one (despite the kerfuffle over Jennie Bristow). I initially thought SiTe in full SeTi aura but came to wonder if it wasn't SeTi in SiTe. However, she really should be an Fi user and in watching this video I realized she is indeed Se dominant (keeps swaying on her feet, also just very organic, not unignored, Se). So SeFi does seem to work best.

So that's Vincent 2, Roshan 1, and the 1 doesn't even really count because I typed Helen Joyce from other materials, so hopefully I will at least be vindicated with Jennie Bristow and it won't be a total rout. But regardless, it seems Vincent still holds his crown as 'the ct expert'. :|

Well, I rewatched Jennie Bristow, and what can I say? Gesture-wise, she seems to circumnavigate the globe of Te while rarely stopping to dock; her gestures are mostly ultimately round. And the few times they are not, the higher Se she seems--which is pretty high. As far as distinguishing between Te and Si dominant with developed Ti in what she says and how she says it, experience tells me that, in the absence of actual bullet points, that is a thankless task. Is she kind of 'snippety' for an SiFe? I guess so, but it's hardly what I'd expect from an FiNe either. I'd actually expect an FiNe to be less snippety, more graceful. Maybe it has to do with incorporating the SeFi 'shadow stack'? (She just might be the healthiest person here). idk. She reminds me of Hannah Mayes intermittently plugged into an electric socket.

Well, I've only watched the very beginning so far Vincent--and I do mean very--and I can see there may be a can of worms as regards Te use but

how in the ever-loving heck is this woman Se PoLR? :ninja:
