He invokes somehow a healthy Eric Strauss when younger. Perhaps a very healthy ENTP creative subtype?

With very very developed third and fourth functions so he wound up seeming kinda SiFe when older? But he's not Ti PolR and my VERY first impression in the OP video (which haven't finished watching yet) was actually TeNi.

In other words, perhaps he is "Eric in the Land of Ni"?

Well he's highly unlikely to be Si PolR with the KIND of warmth he exudes especially when older, and his youthful documentary about his family seems absolute Si valuing to me.
But why not very healthy Fi PolR? His two films I know best, Taxi Driver and Gangs of New York, are about the INABILITY to truly engage Fi (the taxi driver is a Don Quixote crusader SEPARATED by his own Ti, and in Gangs of New York there is the INABILITY to avoid the pull of the Fe crowd--its characters CANNOT escape this fate).

For these characters, to truly love is dangerous, to love is to kill.

fwiw, TeNi was also my first impression.
Until i saw the younger pics, which i agree might very well be NeTi.
I'm still on mommying duty but i'll try to look at him tonight.
