Also, for some reason in the beginning, Peterson remarks that the quote from Jung is probably something that he changed to the point where it stopped being a Jung quote. And I have never seen him actually make that observation about himself before.
Exactly. And you are calling things like this 'smooth' because they accelerate organically, e-ssam, in contrast to the effort needed in maintaining the stability of decorum. yes, it's very organic ime.
I am kind of doing the opposite. because this acceleration feels a bit like an avalanche to me, and like a plea from Peterson for a 'mutual suggestibility society'. Peterson seems to want to be somehow 'redeemed' by Vervaeke--he wants Vervaeke to help him clarify and tie together all the ideas that have been brewing in his own head--while at the same time making a Christian out of Vervaeke, so to say. However, again, Vervaeke does resist this. He keeps the boundary. Right. Peterson is close to an official baptism at church too, Roshan and he just wants the push there.
There could be an Fi polr & Fe absolute value component to Veraveke's resistance too, I think he doesn't want to push the model he's making to be one that favors a certain tradition over another because he doesn't want to have to deal with discriminating between the traditions or with a question like "Can a Buddhist get more 'enlightened' than a Christian just because of Buddhism?". And that he would rather maximize utility for all as much as possible (Te->Fe).
One way one might think of it is that Peterson is plunging into his 'TiNe aura' mode so he is seeking, rather passionately, to be mirrored by Vervaeke. But Vervaeke won't. He's way too Si, his approach is too rationalist and incrementalist. He knows very well this is no mirror really and he just won't be converted. JP would probably want them to convert together.

I'm not done watching the whole thing yet, but from what i've seen so far i'm pretty sure Roshan is right that this has a LOT to do with how Si he is.
I talked a while ago and a few times about Ne doms that kind of self-dualize with an institution. NeTi and NeFi scholars in a dual relationship with Academia. I strongly suspect that John is one of those. He is actually very similar energetically to one of the people i had in mind when i first mentioned this.

Yeah but assuming ENTP, I'm sure it also has to do with Fi PolR because with those people it always does.
His wiki article just got deleted last night. You can now access a draft, which is a 'stub', but what little was said...well...I mean, reverse engineer enlightenment into a replicable form?

This reminds me very much of when I told my SeTi Czech boyfriend there was a serious problem in the relationship, and he said energetically, with gusto, "Let's fix it!"

Energetically, the NeTi he reminds me of most is a sane version of Jocko,, the Si-constipated lunatic. But Vervaeke just seems to have very highly developed Si, like Bret Weinstein. Who nevertheless doesn't come off as warm as Vervaeke, probably because he is very Ti subtype, but who actually comes off more 'ingratiating' imo. (If you can ever catch an unedited live stream of Dark Horse Podcast and see how he sits there waiting for it to start with an "I am at your disposal" look, you'll see what I mean, but you get a sense of it from the opening here anyway).
